On September 17th, 2024, I signed up for guitar lessons through Fiverr — not just for the music, but as a strategic research and development (R&D) investment to support the expansion of our visual media services. This kind of hands-on exploration not only helps shape business strategy — it also qualifies as a legitimate business expense when you’re actively building new services.
At Novel Logic Media, we’re expanding into YouTube thumbnail design — not only for content creators but also for Fiverr-based independent contractors who offer online services and need clear, compelling visuals to promote their gigs.
While most people associate thumbnails with YouTube, they’re also incredibly useful for Fiverr freelancers — especially teachers, coaches, and consultants who rely on professional visuals to instantly communicate their niche, skill, and personality.
By taking lessons on Fiverr myself, I experienced the freelancer-client workflow from the buyer’s perspective. That experience gave me insight into what kind of visuals stand out, what communication patterns work best, and how to design thumbnails that help freelancers appear more credible, more engaging, and more clickable — whether for their Fiverr profiles, their course previews, or even social media promotion.
Our first outreach initiative is focused on musician teachers on Fiverr. Many of them are skilled educators with minimal branding. We’re stepping in to help them create visual assets — starting with thumbnails — that showcase their expertise and increase engagement.
This is part of a broader mission to support solo creators and educators with strong, strategic design. Whether they’re on Fiverr or YouTube, the right visuals make all the difference.
